How Is Honour Calculated?
Honour is calculated from the resource (lumber, iron, food) cost of troops lost vs. resource cost of troops killed in a battle. You can lose honour on an attack or defence whether you win or lose the attack or defence. You can gain honour on a defence whether you win or lose it. You cannot gain honour on an attack unless you win it (you just get 0 honour gain if you kill more than you lost in that case). When you're attacking or defending, the % of wounded troops is based off your honour vs. the other players honour. If you have more than them, you get lower heals. If they have more than you, you get better heals.
Kiss That Honour Goodbye!
This is the most effective method for losing honour that I have heard about, and used. Surprisingly, not too many people know about it. Yes, I know there are other methods. Yes, they may get mentioned in this post. Yes, would love to see them in comments if I fail to mention it. So that being said, here we go. To lose your honour you are going to need a few things:
- Honour to lose
- A fellow alliance member or friend who has at least '1' honour and lower honour than you and 5k warriors (if you have a lot of honour, they are going to need more warriors)
- A city that has only Defensive Trebuchet For its Wall Defence
- To have your gates closed when enemy (or in your case friend's) attack hits.
By now you are probably saying "huh? What are you talking about??" Well let me tell you. Since Honour is calculated from the resource (lumber, iron, food) cost of troops lost vs. resource cost of troops killed in a battle, and seeing as stone and food (what it takes to build Trebuchet)have the lowest cost value on evony, when someone with lower honour than yourself sends 5k warrior(they cost more in resources) attacks at your closed gates that are filled with trebuchet, you will lose a huge slice of honour.
Hope this helps!
Cheers, and Happy Hunting and Honour Dumping!!!!
Note: The person hitting you won't gain honour. Also make sure the defender(the person losing honour) has a full FH, so the attacker doesn't lose heroes.
Edit:
I find that the attacker with around 100k honor helps defender drop the most honor.
It helps them to help you if you fill your FH ahead of time, so they dont lose any good heroes (cause the higher lvl they send at you, the more trebs killed and the more honor you drop on each hit).
Also with techs 10, defender gets an instant 88% heal rate on trebs, so keep watch on how many trebs get cleared per hit and dont ever let it drop to 0.
In this shot, the attacker has 111k honour, and the defender has 20+mil ... honour was reduced to 8mil rather quickly, using this one treb city.
